A Relative Study on Image Blending
نویسنده
چکیده
Image blending is a process of creating a set of discrete samples of a continuous, one-parameter family of images that links a pair of input images. Image blending has uses in a variety of computer graphics, cartoons and image processing applications. Image blending is to paste a source patch onto a objective image, which has received considerable attention. While gradient-domain blending is dominant. Experiments show that our blending fallouts are visually comparable to gradient-domain methods while possessing real-time performance. This method is applied for image stitching and object elimination. The key contribution of this survey work is studying how applying color and luminance compensation before Poisson blending improves the blending quality and processing speed of Poisson blending in long image sequences where colors and luminance contrast amongst source images, and also improves the quality of image labeling. Cross Dissolve Without Cross Fade: Preserving Contrast, Color and Salience in Image Compositing
Linear interpolation is the standard image blending method used in image compositing. By averaging in the dynamic range, it reduces contrast and visibly degrades the quality of composite imagery. We demonstrate how to correct linear interpolation to resolve this longstanding problem. To provide visually meaningful, high level control over the compositing process, we introduce three novel image ...
متن کاملAn Effective Blending Method for Panoramic Images in Image-based Virtual Reality
Image blending is very important for image stitching with visible seams. An effective blending method for panoramic images in image-based virtual reality is proposed in this paper. The proposed blending method is a two-phase scheme. The histogram-based blending is first applied in the first phase scheme; and then in the second phase scheme, the weighted blending is used under the result of the ...
متن کاملFlexible Image Blending for Image Mosaicing with Reduced Artifacts
Image mosaicing involves geometric alignment among video frames and image compositing or blending. For dynamic mosaicing, image mosaics are constructed dynamically along with incoming video frames. Consequently, dynamic mosaicing demands efficient operations for both alignment and blending in order to achieve real-time performance. In this paper, we focus on efficient image blending methods tha...

OBJECTIVE To determine whether non-linear blending technique for arterial-phase dual-energy abdominal CT angiography (CTA) could improve image quality compared to the linear blending technique and conventional 120 kVp imaging. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study included 118 patients who had accepted dual-energy abdominal CTA in the arterial phase. They were assigned to Sn140/80 kVp protocol (pr...
متن کاملNonlinear Multiresolution Image Blending
We study contrast enhancement for multiresolution image blending. In image compositing, image stitching, and image fusion, a blending operator combines coefficients of a pixel array, an image pyramid, a wavelet decomposition, or a gradient domain representation. Linear interpolation reduces variation and thereby causes contrast loss, while coefficient selection increases variation and thereby c...
